What If Taking An Alcohol Break Could Feel Juicy, Not Dry?
I didn’t just want to ask the question, will I ever have fun again! I wanted to ask, what can I do to create a vibrant, full-bodied, juicy life filled with connection and meaning! Let’s chat so I can answer any questions about my approach to 1:1 and group coachingmy signature video programs, Luscious AF and Luscious 30.
Here are just a few of the incredible things you’ll experience by taking a break from alcohol:
01
Freedom from a habit that is draining your energy and resources, to pursuing hobbies, education, and travel!
02
Trust yourself again: keep the promises you make with others and yourself.
03
Clarity and relief from the brain fog caused by alcohol, dehydration, and poor sleep.
04
Peace of Mind that flows when your body is no longer flooded with stress hormones produced in response to alcohol.

“I’m so glad I found Martha! With her background in the wine industry, she is both knowledgeable and insightful. During our calls, she was authentic, encouraging, and down-to-earth. She’s a great listener and a delightful person!”
“I find myself feeling more compassion, more forgiving, less selfish.”
“I’m slowing down to enjoy nature, how my body feels during and after a workout or while doing yoga, and simple daily tasks. I’ve never noticed the fog lifting to this level before, and I think stepping through the program has really helped me. “
Work With Me
GROUP COACHING
I’ve coached thousands of individuals and yet we all feel alone in our struggle to control alcohol. My small-group programs are the antidote.
By sharing our stories and realizing how totally similar they are we create a fun and supportive group dynamic that adds accountability. We focus on our gains and keep self-compassion, self-care, pleasure, and playfulness at the heart of things.
PRIVATE COACHING
In 1:1 coaching, we work together, around your schedule and with a focus on your individual situation and goals. We will home in on your whys, your specific underlying beliefs about alcohol, your triggers, and your vision for your thriving life.
As in Group Coaching, we keep self-care, self-compassion, fun, and play at the center.
So, How Does it Work?
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I'm not sure I want to quit drinking altogether?
Many of my clients have no intention of quitting, and neither did I to be honest. This is just a journey of questioning alcohol and then making your own decision.
What if I'm scared that life will be bleak without alcohol?
I get it! I did too! I mean, I REALLY did! Turns out, that was the dopamine and old beliefs talking! You'll learn all about that in this program and it's fun to learn about. More importantly, this isn't a long-term commitment. This is just about questioning, learning and then deciding what works for you!
What if I have things planned and it's a bad time to try to take a break?
The truth is, our brain will go a looooong way out of its way to defend drinking and there is no such thing as the perfect time. This journey isn't about perfection. There is no win or lose. It's just about getting curious and learning. It's always a good time for that.
I've taken breaks before and they didn't last. How is this different?
Taking breaks on one's own can provide lots of helpful insights. But without the science-backed content, most people are just white-knuckling it and relying on willpower which is a finite resource and runs out. The methodology I work with gets at the underlying subconscious beliefs about the benefits of alcohol. We will never change our drinking if we don't change our thinking.
I've been drinking a long time. Am I too old?
I had been drinking for 37 years (wow!) when I discovered this work. The brain is an amazing machine and neuroplasticity is our friend!
How do I know if I'm an alcoholic?
Interestingly, that term is not even used any more! We now know that it's not just a world of "normal" versus "problem" drinkers. Instead, it's a continuum. Most drinkers you know are somewhere on the Alcohol Use Disorder Spectrum. But a much more useful question is how is alcohol serving me? And how do I feel?
